Hello Prospective Applicant:

Over the past several years, a lot of territories lost the ability to be monitored with ATCS Monitor, and by extension, TrainMon5 as well due to ITCM conversions. As this new technology is incompatible with ATCS Monitor, there was not a way to continue support for these layouts.

In light of news that came to light around the middle 2026 about new software becoming available that may provide the ability to restore functionality to these layouts that were lost over the years, TrainMon5 has decided, for the time being, to indefinitely halt the membership application process until clear and concise guidance is established on the future of ATCS Monitor as a whole.

As TrainMon5 was built around the already existing infrastructure that made ATCS Monitor possible, the tools and services that provided data to users of the system were heavily tailored to how ATCS Monitor worked. Also, there is still an agreement in place that TrainMon5 has with the ATCS Monitor group and its territory custodians; an agreement that protects their work that has been created over the years from being disseminated and repurposed without their consent.

Please note that TrainMon5 cannot answer any inquiries about the prospect of restoring layouts into service as the sole decision for this possibility resides with the territory custodian(s) themselves.

We understand that this decision may upset some and was not made lightly, but until a clear path forward is established, this decision is TrainMon5's stop-gap measure to prevent overstepping its agreement with ATCS Monitor and its territory custodians.
